A Brief Treetops History
Treetops has been an established name in the pet care industry for over 35 years, having provided a top quality boarding service for dogs and cats in Derby and the surrounding areas. Some even travelled from Wales!
Jo and Marcus worked hard over the years to make it the 5 star luxury kennel that it became. They were also one of the first kennels in the UK to provide a daycare service.
Sadly, Jo and Marcus decided to close the doors to Treetops Kennels and Cattery at the end of 2024 to enjoy a well deserved retirement.
My Story
I'm Lucy and after 3 years studying Animal Management at Broomfield College, my true passion for dogs came alive when I got a weekend job back in 2010 as a kennel hand at Treetops Kennels and Cattery. That weekend job became a full time job, which lead to me becoming kennel manager.
It was with Jo and Marcus' recent retirement that an opportunity arose and TREETOPS DOG DEN was born, where I could continue to provide a safe and loving daycare service for your dogs.
Looking after your dog isn't a job, it's a lifestyle and one I would pick many times over. I have a Border Terrier of my own called Griff, you'll no doubt hear him before you see him!
Our Facility
Our spacious facility features all weather astro-turf outdoor play areas, perfect for social or 1-to-1 play time. With not a splodge of mud in sight!
The kennels provide a cozy indoor retreat with beds and blankets and adjoining external areas. The central heating provides warmth in the winter and the cool tiled interior is perfect for a British summer.
Every dog in our care gets their own kennel for the day as we understand that not every dog wants to be social all of the time. The kennels offer the dogs a space of their own to ensure they get the best mix of rest and play.
Our facility is cleaned and sanitized regularly to ensure the health and safety of all pets.
Our Services
Our services include Daycare and grooming in the Dog Spa. My team are trained to handle dogs of all shapes and sizes, and we all strive to provide personalized care to each and every pet. We recognise that every dog has their own individual needs and we will always cater to those, ensuring your dog is happy whilst in our care.
The dogs are exercised three times a day, with one of those times being a 1-to-1, ensuring that every dog in our care gets all the attention they want without feeling overwhelmed in anyway.
I hope you will be safe in the knowledge that your dog is like one of our own and will be treated as such.
The Dog Spa offers additional 1-to-1 service with only your dog in the salon at any one time. It can be booked along side the use of the daycare or separately.
